holds (currently under a renew process) the Environmental Register KCAM 10900811 and with the Authorization for the Treatment of Hazardous Wastes (Hydrocarbon Contaminated Soils) No. 9-10-PS-V-82-2003 of the Mexican Environmental and Natural Resources Secretariat (SEMARNAT). The Mexican government through the Mexican National Railway enterprise has awarded our Company in order to conduct the soil and groundwater evaluation, diagnostic and remediation at the San Luis Potosí Rail yards. In addition, our company has been selected by private companies in order to remove, transport and dispose contaminated soils, as well as to treat in situ and ex situ contaminated soil.

Field investigation development by determining the contamination degree and the potential impact on health and the environment;
Final conceptual design for clean up and remediation procedures in order to identify the best technical option that minimize costs and complies with legal and technical requirements, as well as with risks associated with health and the environment and;

Projects related with soil, subsoil and groundwater remediation in which Kaiser Consultores has participated, include contamination associated with heavy metals, volatile organic compounds, acids, hydrocarbons spills and toxic chemicals associated with a non proper storage, management and/or disposal.
In 1999, our company concluded two projects associated with hydrocarbons spills, one of them in a highway and a second one at an industrial facility out of order. In both cases our company obtained the approval from federal environmental authorities.
concluded the hydrocarbon contaminated soil remediation for a 3,500 cubic meters volume at the Mexican Railroads Yards in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico. Soil remediation was performed in three modules and different technologies including “Bioventing” and “Landfarming” were used. The Mexican Environmental Attorney under Chihuahua State representation (Delegación Federal de la Procuraduría Federal de Protección al Ambiente en Chihuahua) released the site and Kaiser Consultores obtained the approval as a cleaned-up site.
